The program lasts six week ‘seasons’, with 3 or 4 Participants making up an individual ‘cohort’. We will select Participants for each cohort based on age, interest, and fit with the group as it comes together. The goal of scheduling two cohorts per season will be dependent on getting a minimum of 7 students registered in time for session beginning, and we expect to hold 6 seasons a year.
Robert Gatewood developed a Workshop for kids aged 7-17. Over the course of 7 sessions participants (and their parents) will learn about Games Culture and how it affects and improves life for everyone! Hands-on or virtual experience with everything around games including game development, criticism, eSports, retail, design and more will expose participants to the variety of ways gaming is in their world. More importantly, it’ll show where people can learn important lessons and skills for well-rounded lives through an interest or passion for games. Additionally, Students earn a small stipend for working with Master Collective to develop game ideas and concepts.
Lunch, Break Time, and Recreation are included in the program at no additional cost.
